Fight Your Revolution

Story Scene
Picture this. It’s summer of 1780, and the Revolution has been in full swing for more than five years. The Revolution has become the center of everyone’s lives, even if you are part of the home front support. Marion County, or Georgetown District at that time, was no different. Everyone had to choose their side and fight to support it. The choice lies between two sides, the Patriots, sometimes referred to as Whigs or the Loyalists, also called the Tories. Those living and fighting in the area also recognize the vitality of the Pee Dee River. Everyone, routinely, finds themselves at the River for various reasons like fishing, washing clothes or themselves, camping, even movement of goods. One of these reasons is what brings you to the River today.
